OUR STORY

YUI-SHOP is an online shop from France. We create original accessories made from a century old "dentelle", and collect precious Antique items from Auvergne, which is famous for dentelle and craftmanship.

I recently moved from Japan to France, which was not easy for me (as a Japanese) at first. However, when I saw the scenery of Auvergne in France, all my troubles were gone, fulfilled with the excitement of being able to live in this beautiful place. France and Japan are far apart, yet I feel there is a wonderful bound between them.

In Japan, I feel like we tend to throw away things, but here in France, things are inherited from generation to generation and used with great care. As people tend to rely less on plastic products, antique and vintage items made of wood, ceramics, brass, and silver become more and more attractive over time. Perhaps people feel the nostalgia and charm of things made from natural materials and used with care.

My heart is both in France and Japan. Past and present. Person to person. I chose the shop name "YUI" which means "ties". This shop is a link from France to the world. I hope you will feel the preciousness of these items, which are not made anymore in France.
